(2018) Back when I was still a street kid, we were welcome nowhere. Too young for the trendy bars, too loud for home. So we went looking for good places to hang out; somewhere sheltered from the wind and rain, where we could enjoy a joint and a beer in peace. No matter how hard we tried not to bother anyone, we were always told to leave. Honestly, we were more bothered by the people constantly calling the cops than those people were by us. That gave me the feeling that I wasn’t welcome. This series of charcoal drawings was born from that feeling.
