(2022) To be honest, I used to think that only a small, sad group of people tried to have s*x without consent. Over the past year, I realised that this view came from a place of privilege, from my position as a straight man. The truth is: it’s a massive problem. Far too many people (mostly men) can’t seem to keep their hands to themselves, their comments to themselves, or their d*ck in their pants. I want this to change. First and foremost so that women can feel safe again. But also because, come on, we all just want to enjoy good, respectful s*x with each other, right?
Do you, or someone you know, work at a company, organisation, school, bar, café or anything else where this topic matters, or where there’s a willingness to raise awareness about it? Then send me a message. I’m open to creating work or collaborations around this theme. It helps me share my art and message, and it helps you gain attention, positive visibility, real connection, inspiration, and stronger community ties. This could be a one-time action, like a mural, or something more elaborate. I am, after all, a walking idea factory.
Feel free to get in touch so we can share thoughts and explore what’s possible.
With love,
STHOM
