(2017) Maybe it’s not such a bad idea that cigarette and rolling tobacco packages come with written health warnings. What I do find strange is that the same doesn’t apply to products full of sugar, fat or alcohol. And now, on top of that, cigarette packs are covered in extremely graphic and disturbing images. To me, that feels out of balance. That’s how my artwork “ALSO NOT GOOD” came to be: A piece meant to hold up a mirror.
