(2019) In 2011, I left OSG West-Friesland early without a diploma. Slowly but surely, I grew into the artist I am today. Eight years later, the school created an inspiration wall in honour of its 150th anniversary. And with quiet pride, I can say that I’m one of ten former students who now has a place on that wall.
So in my eyes, I’ve earned that diploma after all. It just goes to show: with a bit of self-belief and a mountain of persistence, you can go a long way. I hope my story might inspire the students who walk the halls of OSG today. Alongside my photo on the inspiration wall, there’s an interview.
